Ha Ha no doubt on the digging. I will be so smooth hopefully no one will ever know I was there. I plan on digging everything as well as I agree that's the only way to learn. I'm in this not as much for the treasure but rather for the hunt. I love to fish and I hope this hobby reflects it for me. I've never had a bad day of fishing, even when all I caught was seaweed.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I ordered a Tesoro Silver Umax this afternoon from Backwoods and got a great deal. It'll be at my house on Friday and I'm so excited to get out there this weekend. I'll let you know what I find.

Just remember one thing. The detector does not come with experience and knowledge in the box. Use this forum and other resources to learn, learn, learn. That is what will make that detector work for you. And this is one hobby where those in the know are not afraid to help. I don't know of anyone who makes a living doing this so there's no reason for any of us to keep secrets so we can get rich while everyone else chases snakes with their coils.
