have it as one of my true treasures. It is minted the year he was born. Plus, when we were growing up, we all got a silver dollar every week for a long time. Of course we took it to the nearest grocery store or five and dime and spent it! :(
 
I have never heard of garbage being disposed of in this manner before, but then again there are many things that I have not heard before. Your special place sounds like metal detector heaven...good folks own the property, there are lots of good things to find, and there are horses on the property.
