It is showing the coin but I only hear the iron

Below, from my original posting. The complete full sentences I wrote:

Given a strong enough ferrous disruption field that overwhelms the non-ferrous' disruption field, no vlf detector in the world is ever going to detect the non-ferrous.

But there is the 'Wall' where VLF technology simply cannot penetrate through a ferrous signal of a particular strength.

I appreciate the entirety of you post. I only reposted the comments about VLF for the sake of those who had been posting that the CTX 3030 is a VLF detector. It's frequency range should put those thoughts to rest. Thanks again for your thorough explanation. HH Randy

I agree, and that's exactly what I was thinking too, is who's gonna be looking at the screen especially in a real trashy area? All these above ground tests need to be taken w a grain of salt.
And incase I'm being accused of being negative, well....mine is paid in advance and will have it on 6/2

So well all see....

For people who continually say "who's gonna be looking at the screen" what else are you looking at? The coil is in front of you, the screen is in font of you and you're looking ahead and down at the same time. This puts the coil and screen in your field of vision and even if you're not focused on the screen you can still see it. I would assume the color screen would aid in this greatly. I mean are people walking around with their eyes closed or in a complete fog?? A blind fold maybe?? LOL

Gemini - to be fair most people are tone first hunters, then they look at the screen. Regardless of that - Generally, looking down at what basically amounts to what is right in front of your hands for the majority of a few hour hunt will bring serious cramping to the neck area. That said, I really use the screen on the E-Trac a lot (I'm quite visually oriented) BUT I in no way stair at it continuously nor do I look down at the coil directly (but rather look a bit in front of it and do the rest peripherally.) Anyway, my point is that there is a big difference between the angle when looking down at the coil and the angle when looking down at the screen. It may be small difference, degree wise, but the angle when looking down at the screen is quite sharp - the head can't look any lower! LOL
