It has been awful quiet in Tesoro land. Any news on a new machine?

I just emailed Tesoro with the question:
Is Tesoro planning on releasing new detectors any time soon? If so, are any of them going to be Target ID?

I'll respond back here if I get a reply from them.

Here's the response I just got from Tesoro.......

Thank you for your email. While Tesoro is always working on new projects I am not at liberty to say when and what sort of new dectector they may be working on. Thank you for your loyalty to Tesoro detectors and we hope you remain a customer.
Regards,
Christi

OK, That does it.

We gotta pass the hat, guys...

Let's hire Austin Powers and find out what's REALLY going on in Arizona.

Groovy Baby!

Do they need a new machine??
How much better can it get??
I know what your saying. I was at the edge of my seat for some time.
Tesoro makes a First class detector.
They can put a new faceplate on it but it wont be any better.
The technology nut is a hard one to crack nowdays.
Advancements are at a peak and with metal detections(being a simple circut) it will slow.
Personally I would take on an 80 or 90`s tesoro against their current models any time.
But one thing that keeps them on top is their light weight units.
in a way it is also their crutch because when picked up for the first time user`s think they are toys.
we all know better and kinda hope others never find out ...Dont we?

Ain't THAT the truth!

A very nice fellow approached me in the park the other day...

Sez, "I'm retired, always wanted one of those, should I get one at walymart or RS?"

Oh Gosh...

I kinda grit my teeth... LoL

So I sez, "This name right 'chere sez Tesoro... That means Treasure. If you never had one before, get a Compadre."

...There goes another % of my weekly finds!

It's all good!

Aw shucks!

Thanks TD.

When it all boils down, you really should help people out, much as you can...

If other folks do better, we all do better.

If I think about it, when something of value is dropped, it's value is gone to society...

When a MD guy comes along and recovers it, the world is a better place.

Well, so much for the high falootin' philosophy hour!

-----

I learned something...

Lack of a pencil and scrap of paper kept me from writing down info for the fellow...

Today, I'm gonna see if a little golf pencil on a piece of fishing line will fit into the butt of my upper rod, at the arm cuff.
and I could tape a scrap of paper or put a post-it on the arm cuff, too...

I don't know what might be new from Tesoro, but I'd think that at the very least there should be a HOT target ID machine coming before too long. They've done a great job on beep and dig machines, but the competition has a bunch of TID machines in various price ranges (including lower budget) on the market which probably has an effect on the sales of the Compadre and Silver, especially among newbies. My thoughts.

I'll give it a mth. If there are no rumors of a new detector from Tesoro, I'm buying a Vaquero.

So you would say a '87/'88 Toltec100 outperforms a Vaquero?
I don't mean to seem harsh, I really want to know if this is the case. Is a Toltec100 as good as a Vaquero? If not, I'm not buying ;)

Can you give us any tid bits on When, What and Approx. Price perhaps?
4th quarter of this year?........... Id machine?............... Suggested retail price?

Whoa!!!!!

There was a tidbit of a leak from Arizona!!!!!!

What fun!

As far as beep and dig machines the Tesoros are far ahead of the rest. But no one can tell me that their TID machines can compete with the Minelabs, Fishers, and T2's of this world. I guarantee you that Tesoro's next machine will be a new TID. Whether you like it or not, or feel it's necessary, that's what the consumer wants.
