This ring was found by a relic hunter in the Richmond area years ago I bought it from a cw dealer. It looks like silver but is light weight like aluminum . It has the name Hester C Cole engraved on it . I did a little research there are more than one but there was one from pa.that fit the time line . Maybe a solider bought it for his wife and lost it.If anybody knows anything about sulter merchandise let me know and thank you for your help in advance .

It would be interesting to see what TID it gives on a detector.
If authentic, my guess is that it is an ID ring to indentify him if he died or was killed in battle.
