It's actually been out for some time (around 8-10 years) but I don't think it got much traction.
 
At $2300 it better scratch my itch…..
 
That is a Garrett ATX (Pulse Induction) and yes they are around $2500 old tech as far as Pulse induction goes but still a very capable PI unit weight wise around 7 pounds they are heavy as you know what
 
I hope it floats, looks too heavy to swing.
they do not float LOL they are heavy as all get out 7 pounds I believe they are a very capable PI (Pulse Induction) detector

pick up a 8x8x16 cinder block and you will get the idea of what they feel like put it at the end of a 50 inch pole and then you will get the idea of what it would feel like to swing one for any length of time
