Is this a counterfeit Quarter???

I just found one too! it's a 1982 quarter. and the acid dip thing does't click in my mind, that would take quite a bit of time I suspect plus the reeding being so predominate in the copper center but not the silver and I have three normal quarters from the same year and none look differently aged on the surface. Mine seems to be squished on one side too, like someone threw a copper dime into the final quarter phase and it wasn't enough...very odd.

Probably just wishful thinking.

Got this quarter in change at a local deli...Notice the edge of the left coin...it looks like 2 pieces glued to a copper wafer in the middle. It is a 1965 quarter. The quarter on the left is a 1997 quarter...Was this a minting mistake? Has the quarter been pressed (flattened), or is it guenuinely fake? Sorry for the poor pic quality...I had the camera on a tripod, but it does not take good closeups...

HH,

If you use a good 3X to 4X magnifying glass and shoot your close up through it you can get more real micro close up images, it works really well.

The below little rock is no bigger than a pea! I think it may be a meteorite???? ( I did say Think)

as to the on cent ------------ that is a mistake and that penny is worth a lot of money -------------
the quarter on the other hand may only be worth 25 cents you would have to look at the books on that one ............. i found a silver dime perfect on one side, and blank on the other. wow... that was like working a week ,, with one find.
