is their anyone under 40 mding

I started detecting when I was 25......wasn't a geezer then...now 56....still not a geezer. I eat young people's lunches for a light snack or when I am bored.

I was abour 11 or 12 when I started. Still under the 40 mark by a few months!

I wish I had the body I had when I was under 40, does that count?

Yep 39 here and loving it but im new to MDing but its the best thing around right now.

im 45 going on 29!! been detecting since 1978,,son-n-law is 31 and has been detecting for a couple years

Yes sir, started when I was 16 back in '74 so I'm considered 'old school'. I vaguely remember when I hit 40 (does this count for this post?). Knees and back are in great shape! Hearing is superb when I gotta hear those deep targets! Eyesight is OK but need "readers" to see close-up and I also carry a magnifying glass on me.

Welcome the younger guys/gals here but, Old Guys Rule! . . .Hee Hee.

Have fun out there,

TC-NM

47 and in MDing Heaven

Petitt.......I think its awesome when parents introduce their kids to this hobby......its fun and they learn history. Good going:)

31 here....been detecting for a year.... 3 months seriously, found my first gold ring two weeks ago...wish i would have picked up a detector years ago....

I was an under 40 whippersnapper at one time, if I remember correctly (or at all).

Decided to stop ageing at 39 many years ago.....been 39 ever since.

Didn't start detecting until after my 22nd 39th birthday.

Great exercise for us old geezers......
