tell you what I'll do: Tonight I'm heading out to a ghost townsy iron ridden site. We're going to be there to pit the 705 against the Racer. And what I'll do, for purposes of the discussion of "auto-track" versus "lock" in such environments, is the following test:
When we've located a difficult to hear/reach target trying to squeek through/around iron, I will do this: I will make mental note of the target's strength, sound, boldness, etc.... while still in my normal "lock" mode of hunting such sites. Then I will hit the auto GB button "tracking" button (the button that looks like a heart-monitor screen )
Then I will purposefully sweep all around, and over, the target for a full minute. Then make note of whether the target is now clearer, versus more muffled.
