Interesting how many frequencies the Deus 2 is actually using?

One of the video's point was what I was thinking the other day. . . . Which is really, how much better are these high priced, high end detectors compared to my cz and f-75's?
He says 40% . . . I don't think it's that much, more like 5 to 10%. What I have to consider is that the cz's and f-75's were high end, high priced detectors back then. The value of the dollar has dropped significantly since then . . . So now we're spending $1500 verses $800. . . .have to keep that in mind.

Well, as an old cavalry guy who's totally unschooled in such technical things like frequency analysis, I can just go by what my on-the-ground experiences have been with detectors going back to 1970. I've seen a distinct and tremendous improvement over the years. My Deus II now outperforms even my more recent detectors e.g. Safari, Excal, ETrac, CTX and Equinox. It really doesn't matter to me how many simultaneous frequencies it uses at any given time ...all I know is its capabilities exceed those others. Admittedly, I may be dreaming but that's just what I see from my foxhole....

I may have to take back my previous post after using the Deus2 in machine gun iron on program "fast". Holy mackerel! Not deeper than 6 inches but that's ok with what I was digging up.
The front yard of this 1700's property still has the stone house standing. I detected this property last week using "deep HC" with an exausting earful of targets.

Having very little time with the D2, I didn't think to use the "fast" program until laying in bed looking up at the ceiling one night. As soon as I thought of it I knew where I was going on Sunday (today). The only thing I changed on the program was from 2 tone to full tones. I was digging non ferrous with nails in the plug and hole, wow! Got a spoon part made into a ring, a few bullet and rifle casings, a flat button, horseshoe, can opener, a crotal bell, pull tab, bottle caps, a beautiful adze head and about a foot away from the adze head a 1853 trime 3 cent silver in beautiful condition.
I have only found one before and years ago. I'm loving this "fast" program in super high target, iron nail dirt. I've always heard that XP units were the best unmaskers, now I know.
I may have to get back there tomorrow, I'm stoked!

Steve, I don’t use the fast program much due to the sounds of Deep HC but you make me want to use it more.

Big Tony, the fast program in machine gun targets/iron made me think that I have the best tool for the job, hands down. When using Deep-HC, I was getting loads of falsing from all the iron and dug too many nails and rarely non-ferrous targets. Too big of a snapshot with that program and all the falsing with the dozens of targets will overwhelm you brain. The fast program is designed for unmasking in high target concentration areas. It's not deep in my soil, 6" max. I'm also running the 9" coil.
In fast program the unit runs quiet. In full tones (only thing I changed) if you get a little squeak, check the ID. If its a number you like, dig it. I wouldn't use fast program in a low target area, I would pick a different, deeper one.
Remember, the higher reactivity number you choose the less deep the unit will detect. I dug the hardest US coin to detect using the fast program (3 cent silver, trime), I'm pretty excited for an old man.

Same here Tony. In fields, I'll also use deepHC. I will lower the reactivity to 1.5 and zero disc, full tones . . . I need the big coil too for depth in the fields.

In my own usage hunting fairgrounds with ludicrous amounts of nails, I’ve seen the same….Fast is where it’s at. Never seen anything close to it.
