If you thought I was too tired and sore to detect today then you haven't been paying attention at all!

Nobody read my post that said I was too sore to even walk this morning. After a hot shower and coffee I felt like a million bucks. Off I went. Found two silver rings, three wheats, 183 coins including my first dollar coin in months, junk chain and pendant that had me hoping until I got home. Couldn't manage more than 3.5 hours. Total of 565 coins for the weekend which has to be close to a personal best. That's $52.42 in clad, but who's counting? In my tired condition I seem to have misplaced my favorite paper towel. It'll turn up.

Chris

Did you really think my writing about that towel ended with my ripping it to shreds?

Positively no detecting until next weekend!

Great finds Chris..WTG!!!! you got some really
nice stuff like the pendant... Very cool

You had a great weekend and now you've earned a break. I just wonder what kind of places you hunt to find all those coins and rings? You are just like the weather, you are on a hot streak. HH

Since almost nobody follows a thread once they read the original post I'll confess something to you fongu. I went out detecting today after I expressly said I wouldn't. Met two nice contractors who were interested. Gave a bit of a seminar while they were on their lunch break. It was sunny and hot. Got a pretty bad sunburn on my shoulders and neck. Had a blast as usual. Found 150 more clad coins. What might be a gold ring. It is encased in cement. Trying to figure out how to clean it. Back to work tomorrow so definitely no detecting until Friday night. Unless I get up a bit early which I wouldn't rule out! I might have the bug!

Chris

Something I find a bit interesting. Over 12 percent of my yearly clad total thus far was found in the past four days.

Nice hunt Chris! I've been gold dredging every day this summer and doing WELL! Havent picked up a detector since May...that will change come middle Sept when the season ends.

Glad you're dredging a lot Alan. Are you still in Oregon? Any hope that California comes to their senses and allows dredging again? I for one would like to see a vid like the ones you used to make. Maybe a pic of some gold. I have a cool propeller shaped nugget in my collection. Remember that?

As for your other post. I have been saving my MD swag pretty well this year. While it has not been a great year, it has been OK. I have money set aside for a new detector and if Garrett doesn't come out with anything I have my eye on two other machines. I'll wait until spring.

Hey Chris,

Yeh I'm dredging in Oregon again and only 15 minutes from my house..hard to beat that. I have just completed a video of my first 6 weeks at this river (Rogue) and will post in on youtube by the weekend. I will have some pics of the gold in the video and maybe will post some here for my Garrett family. Yeh I rememebr that nugget. I found its sister nugget a few months ago that looked like a smaller version of it as I was looking at my gold before the season began.

From the rumor mill California might not be opened in time for next season but possible opened the 2012 season. I was there for 5 weeks in May-June 7th highbanking and having fun but got only a 1/2 oz during that time.

I have a little set aside also for a new top Garrett machine. Enjoy your post still even though I dont post much any more.

Alan
