:Left4Dead said:I think maybe a 2 part type question? Swinging is one thing , I think how many times you dig targets....should some how be considered?
sqwaby said:What machine are you using?? I can swing my Vaquero all day. My CZ was a problem, couldn't hunt more than a couple hours till I hip mounted it. Hunted with it last Sat. for almost 5 hrs and could have gone longer.

fowlercharles said:Hey Gringoo,Whenever I make a hunt with my main digging buddies I usually have to make a about a 90 mile drive(one way) so that cuts our digging time some. We still manage to get in at least 5-6 hrs. diggin so as to make our gathering last long as possible. It isn't so much the detecting we enjoy as the meeting up visiting and sharing our digs with one another.I hunt with a Tejon , but lately have started using my Amigo II also. I think I may have already mentioned, my knee and bone proplems(back surgery in 62-3) but not my 2 open heart, and colon resection surgeries since 2000.It is difficult getting down and up from my knees the first few digs, but it usually gets easier after a few digs and I get limbered up.Takes a couple of days to recoupe from an all day hunt. The drive(sitting) is worse for me I think than the walking and digging. It is surely worth it though and I feel it is actually better for me by keeping me active. Of course I try and be active in other things between the long hunts, like yard work,30 min. walks, and doing stuff in my shop. I made 74 in July. Keep moving and Thanking God for letting you, and you will be digging longer. HH, Charlie
Furious T said:Depends on 1) How many targets I dig (as mentioned by Left4) and how hard/difficult the digging is. One and a half to three hours usually pulls me up. Love the activity, and it sure beats sitting at home/work...I'm sure it's one of the things that keeps me going. HH

If the fish are biting. Lot of pressure answering a question as complicated as yours. Getting out in the elements getting excercise enjoying life until you get tired. Come home get my butt eat out because I forgot something. Ready to go tommorrow. HH
