Hunting season will end tonight..1 to 3" snow and sleet...........then Monday he says real snow on the way.. I hate it when that happens LOL

and they are calling for more ice tonight! Darned ice! I hate winter!!!!!

Its headed this way too. Snow then freezing rain/sleet. How much more of this can a guy take this early, its not even "officially" winter yet!

Lake effect snow s*cks!

Tom

but it sure would be nice to get out for one more hunt. Looks like a long cold winter coming on.

So what is all this reporting about 'global warming'

Just coming into summer down this neck of the woods

Digger, after 22 years on the county road department and now semi retired I don't miss those ice storms! It's been snow and sleet in the Northeast corner of Iowa. So much for metal detecting this year.

It was a chilly upper 50f here today:devil:. I will probably be able to hunt most of the winter. I am in central NC, Beale.

Sounds like you guys might be in for a good shot of snow too! I remember back when I was on the linecrew for a utility company. Seems like the worse the weather got, the more likely we had to be out in it. Like you, I don't enjoy that stuff at all. If it makes you feel better, my SW corner of our State has been "out of commission" for detecting for the past 8 or 10 days. That first snow melted and soaked the ground. Temps in the teens for the past week have made it awful tough to dig! Guess it is time to get out the notebooks and hit the research! HH Randy

Once it hits up on the Great lakes it will be about Mid January before it thaws enough ( And then you need to be a little crazy) for any kind of detecting.
Wait a minute..I just remembered doing it last January..(You have to be a lot crazy) LOL ..keep the good posts going all you that have fair weather....we folks
in the Snow area will read every word..and wish !!!

Yep you do..same system thats hitting us Tonight and Sunday nails you Monday or Tuesday I think..!! Brrrr I'm cold already.

extra cots can you set up? I wouldn't mind a bit of 50 degree relic hunting! HH Randy

Hey Randy I have a nice big basement, with a pool table, dart board, and plenty of room, Beale.

Boy that Pizzed ole Barnacle Bill off.

That reminds me

Hey Old Tymer, r u lurking around these parts??

Tom

Kiwi

Send some of that summer up here please. Global warming is MIA here.

Tom

Mxterer and Tinfoil..Your both bragging ....:argue::drinking: HAHAHAHAHAHA LOL Good luck hunting

It takes a lot of guts to go out detecting in these adverse conditions. And my wife keeps reminding me that there is a very fine line between a lot of guts and a lack of brains! :stars: There have been times that I think I may have crossed that line! HH Randy
