Can anyone ID this find? It's made of brass and was found in a site that has produced many CS relics.

I finally figured out the multiple pictures. Scott, I believe thats a cufflink that lost the front part that was attached to the bigger end

Scott: Jim probably has that right or it could be shirt stud button. Civil war ers? could be...I have a gold one like this from my grandfather which is turn of the century.
