I'd like to hear some comparisons of the Whites V3 and the Minlab E-trac

Post your finds V3 users. Finds sell detectors.

If I like a certain company's detector(s) and they treat me well when it comes time for warranty work, I'll say so.

But to be honest, I'm not really interested in posting my finds to help them sell their detectors.

Assuming for the sake of argument that the V3 and the E-Trac each have about the same percentage of users who are interested in posting finds, then the question becomes how many people use those machines and for how long have they used them.

My semi-educated guess would be that at least a substantial part of the reason that there are more posted finds with the E-Trac is that the E-Trac has a lot more users in general and also a lot more users that have gotten proficient at using it since the V3 reportedly has a substantial learning curve and it hasn't been out as long.

My son has had a V-3 since they first came out. Has'nt mastered it but have'nt seen anyone that has. Hunt's civil war relics most all the time and does very well. But when he goes with me to the beach or coin hunting his V-3 can't touch my minelab's depth. But whatever machine a person purchases for the type of hunting they want to do they still have to spend a lot of time to learn them. HH
