I currently use an Id Excel with about 50 hours of experience. The Id Excel has performed well and I have found a couple of silver coins and about a dozen wheat pennies during this time. After checking the Id reading #20 for an Indian head penny I realized good targets may have been missed. I'm still learning with this unit. Most of my searching will be in the older trashy parks in Michigan. Before the weather breaks completely I would like to have the best metal detector for this type of hunting.I bought a CoinStrike and a CZ7A,which I will receive in a couple of days. I'm going to use these detectors in the area parks. The detector thats performs best for me and is user friendly I'll keep. One unit will be sold.Yes I do have doubts about the task at hand, after reading downloaded manuals, and I know there is going to be a learning curve with each detector.I have received the Coin Strike and used it about 20 hours. The C$ is calibrated different(ID numbers for targets) from the Id Excel.Comparing the ID & CS the Excel is silk smooth operating in trash where the C$ jumps around on signals.
