I wonder if Garrett will release a new detector before Christmas?:garrett:

Just curious as most of you's are too I'm pretty sure. I guess If they have one ready they'll get it out. Christmas season is a good time for new products.

Cant wait to see what they come up with...oh man, the suspense is nuts. I've been gold dredging everyday this summer and doing WELL... But the dredge season is getting shorter and I start thinking about metal detecting more and more since I havent used a detector since May.

Anyone heard anything about a new Garrett machine?

Anyone got money set aside that is burning a hole in their pocket for a new Garrett...oh yeh...I do....!

With the economy the way it is I really would not hold my breath. I mean who
has money right now? Some people maybe but not me..or my neighbors.

When Uncle Willie responded to Bearcats question of a new detector,on 8 -3- 2010,Willie was listed as
registered for 4 years with 579 posts. He has been registered 5 years with thousands of posts. Did we
loose all his wisdom he gave us,and we cannot search those past posts????? Who did what and why?

I save my change from the store and call it my "toy fund". I've got enough to be looking for something to add to the arsenal. Been thinking of a Sea Hunter unless they come out with something special. Definitely gonna get a sniper coil come spring. Thinking I'll get it for the 550 and leave it set up that way for tight areas and use the 2500 for cleaner areas.

I don't know if Garrett will release a new detector anytime soon but I am sure they have one at least in the planning stages. I look for Charles to come out with one to bang wtih E Tracs and Spectrum V3i but I doubt it will be a copy of either of those two. Whereas MineLab and Whites are hung up with numbers, conductivity and TDIs, Garrett is more into imaging. I think it's a no brainer that Garretts has been working on at least or is maybe close to production a model that will provide 3D imaging. You will be able to "see" what is in the ground, a 3 dimensional image just the way the detector "sees" it. You will be able to "see" if the coin is on edge or flat, or if it is eve a coin at all. Lead soldiers, keys and harmonica reeds will appear just as they are. With such a machine trash digging, as we know it, will be a thing of the past.

I've been waiting a while for a new high-end Garrett.Would like to see something that could effectively hunt for nuggets in high mineral/variable ground. When it comes to imaging 'n such, just incorporating the features of the GTP 1350 into a GTI package (imaging AND sizing) would make a big difference. It would also, if making smaller than stock imaging coils is too difficult/impractical, make for a 'better' detector. ..willy (the REAL willy, demmit!)

I've heard rumblings that something may be out this Fall whenever they decide Fall is. I know they are way overdue and have been dragging their feet forever. As long as they have screwed around I expect something spectacular. Charles has had plenty of time to conjure up something that borders on spectacular so all we can do is wait and hope and I desparately need something new to play with. :)

The Army was working on a mine detector that would do that but don't know if it would be cost effective with a computer as it would be quite expensive but I look for Charles to come out with a mind blower.whether it's 3-D or not.

Actually I've been running this joint for 14 years plus with probably close to 25,000 posts. But they changed the forum around a couple of times and I had to register new all over again.
