I wish to give our northern friends a laugh

No we never get away from the pulltabs and screw caps. But if we are out prospecting we find more lead and trash. Here in southern AZ we find more trash than you could ever imaging that is left behind from the illegals. Humanitarians leave them food and water, in return the illegals leave it all in the washes along with their empty back packs, rosaries, and trophies from after they have raped the girls they smuggle.
Guess what, those same illegals when they hit our parks do the same thing. I see it every monday morning when I take my dog for a walk in a very busy park that is 90% illegals on the weekend. On the positive side... Oh, there is no freaking positive side.

I forgot the border western states are the Interstate Highway #1 from south and central america.

When I was younger I would hunt some in the summer months in some real thick woods and brush. One of the first things you would do once home is undress and begin on a search and destroy mission (tick removal). Then it was time for a hot shower. Sometimes late in the middle of the night I would suddenly sit up in bed with the sensation that something was crawling on me. A quick examination in the light would reveal a tick. Where in the world was that lil' devil hiding, and how did he manage to remain on during a hot, scrubbing shower? I hate those lil' devils.
Chiggers & seed ticks are even worse! Ma

Yeah, one summer one of those little suckers was stock on me in a very private place. I thought I had melanoma so went to my dermatologist. He plucked it off with tweezers, took back and put it under the microscope. Came back with his findings, a small tick and then the doctor gave me some kind of shot to prevent lime disease. Ugh!!!! Now I spray my pants hands, neck forehead, ears with 25% deet. Of course the deet will probably kill me.

Try permethrin for ticks. Once I started using it I havent gotten any more ticks. Spray your clothes/shoes with it and not your skin. It stays on your clothes for a good 4-5 washes so you dont need to spray every time.

never thought about that. Well you get the illegals first, but the seem to eventually end up in Atlanta. Our parks are flooded with them on the weekend. They have a different attitude about trash. I was told by an Hispanic friend who has been here 18 years, they drop their trash or leave it behind in parks because in their country, the really poor people make a living collecting and recycling that trash. My once relative clean parks are now covered in pop tops. Find an older ring pull every now and then, but square pop tops are everywhere in the ground and on top of the ground in my local parks. Makes it hard to hunt rings of course. It is what it is, so I just have to deal with it and I do. the CTX makes it easy to coin hunt in these parks trashed up with pop tops and can slaw.
