I watched that Diggers show on the weekend

What amazes me is that Diggers is on the National Geographic Channel. I thought they would be a little more professional in their content.

What a pair. Nectar this and nectar that. Silver OK. Gold OK. But any old thing from the ground? Hanging upside down and doing cartwheels for junk. I have not seen them find a coin in 3 episodes. Yes their is other stuff to find. they don't show any systematic searching, just beep beep and they dig up another piece of iron.

I'll stick to Meteorite Men. They have a plan, they attempt to show the effort involved, they talk science and to scientists, they are professional.

Rant off.

Diggers and DigFellas plain and simple DUMMER & DUMBEST

Had a couple of weeks vacation on the Florida gulf coast and I brought my detector and went to hit the beach and the detector did not work so I was off to Pawn shops to find another detector. There were no descent detectors at the pawn shops and the pawn shop owners and staff said that since the new detecting show started that they were selling them as fast as they would come in. This was in April 2013 and I had not even heard of this show.
I finely saw the show and could not believe that it was on the air for all the reasons that others have already mentioned.
Funny how most people in the hobby are repulsed by the show and those outside the hobby want in on the "nectar".
No one likes to be misrepresented in there hobby and that is the bad taste that I have when watching this show.
If the show is just a tool to use to sell more detectors then it might be a success for the sponsoring company or for pawn brokers but if you want to witness what the real diggers act like, just go to you tube.

These types of shows are usually anything but reality. It seems that if someone is not "yucking it up" or "acting like a buffoon" the TV exec's don't think anyone will watch it. Just watch any "reality" type show that has anything to do with a hobby. Product placement is what it is all about as is the almighty $.

Ive only watched the show a few times there guy get annoying really fast and there lingo is all wrong. They do seam to find real stuff though.I cant figure out how they can detect side by side without pothere each other, ive never seen an atg detector before.
