A forum member notified while my hard drive had crashed that several members on the whites home forum(not the one here) completely insulted me for getting a Minelab...I was able to get in and read the responses...almost hateful I thought...a few did back up my right to own both...but I was shocked... It was listed in the general discussion area and eventually was deleted...I have decided not to return to that forum because the moderator waited 24 hours before removing...

Gregg. I saw the posts on the whites forum. One thing about whites owners, they are loyal. Good thing too, leaves more for the rest of us to find
Seriously though. I hunted with a whites for years and still own one. I've also hunted with the CZ line. Kinda like performance cars in my book. There are those who are brand loyal and talk trash and there are those who are just looking for the best performance around. I think we should support our fellow THer's regardless of what they are swinging! I'm not proud, I will hunt with someone swinging anything, even a Green Machine
Dont get too upset about it. Learn your new SE and you can go back there and talk trash with them.

Yeah, who gives a flying **** (at a rolling donut (for Kurt Vonnegut fans)). I agree with the other poster though---might be soon time to chnage your handle. (Though I enjoy the irony of "DFX-Greg" in a Minelab forum-in that sense, I'd say keep it!)
Kinda reminds me though, of the the possibly (reverse?) racist t-shirts I was recently thinking of making w/ the Minelab logo in the middle of the sentence (mainly because it would confuse people): "Once you go Minelab, you never go back." (PM me if you think that would be racist to do, otherwise ignore.)
On the other hand, given the weight difference between my first machine, a Tesoro, and the Sov and the Explorer, if I can ever afford it, I'm tempted to go for a lighter, faster machine as a backup/alternative eventually. But right now I have a pretty **** cool SE to learn.

Well, you know who your friends are Gregg. Times are changing and some people are slow to change. Many of us are multi line users for our own reasons and it is becoming common practice for those who can afford it. The common denominator is we all like to find goodies in the ground no matter what detector we use.
Even in the motorcycle clubs I belong to, Harley guys ride with the Metric guys and crotch-rocket riders, ride with the HOGS.
What's this world coming to? Acceptance?

In my opinion, you stay here BUT also go back there to that forum and anywhere you're allowed to. I like what you have to say and seems to me your an honorable man.
Just stand your ground and let that other person or persons say what THEY think is right.Give them enough rope..........
Being brand loyal and having pride on what detector you chose to use is fine BUT it is such a stupid subject to stand up and argue about unless one has a capital interest in ensuring that the outcome is their favor. There is never any need to insult anyone about what they chose to use. Friendly "ribbing" is fine, but even that can sometimes go overboard and get soo nasty.
Constructive criticism should ALWAYS be welcomed.
I would wait until THEY get kicked off or banned from that site.
It is highly unlikely YOU will.

Hi Greg! I to own two different machines as well (SE, MXT). To me I don't care what detector you use, I just like reading the posts on the things that you have found as well as everybody that posts. Remember one thing, always be you, forget about what others might think it really does not matter, just as long as you are happy with yourself. I also would not change my screen name or not post anymore. Post away! I have read what people are saying about you here and I am sure we all agree with one thing and that is that you are only as good as the detector you are using. Don't give up, keep on diggin and posting! If the haters don't like it they don't have to read your posts. Let them decide!

I know there will always be a few we all disagree with...sometimes going back and forth can also be fun...and makes for interesting reading. Even entertaining...but this particular forum is Whites home forum sure they finally deleted within 24 hours...but this is the same company I have helped get alot of new customers in the last year. I sent stories twice and made their main site..even pictures of my kids which made their site... but I guess the moderator running the forum is probably not a White's employee....I believe he also maybe one of the mod's at the big T forum...which at times can be a circus. Oh well great advice from everyone thanks!
Don't worry man, some people think this is like a club, i believe they check the forum from the other brand just to see if they found something better, competition. That's not the idea of the forum, everybody is here to help one to each other, no matter what MD you use, at the end we all using a Metal Detector, and that's it.
