I was greeted by a nice surprise this evening. It also baffles me how all these coins have been missed.

Nice pile of finds. I think (screamers I call them) shallow quarters and halves often get passed over do to being loud and often reading in the bottle cap range. HH jim tn

Yep exactly I had a 36-37 screamer in a freshly mowed field hunting the edges near train tracks I thought to shallow to big to be a half so I was thinking crushed aluminum can?
Nope only 3" down was my second morgan dollar in 2 years!
