I tried a Fisher for the first time today and...

.....to detector magazines. But some folksy Mark Twain humor might add a nice touch. ("When I was a kid we used a 'Y' shaped limb,
years later the first kerosene powered treasure machine was invented-changed mining forever.") Look at all the topics on finds that people take an interest in.
No typewriter, or manuscript either-just a computer: edit on the spot, finish, final edit and fire it off to an email address. If one magazine turns in down--hit another.
No movie contract or a TV mini-series, but a steady supplement could be a reality.
You could even write, "The Minelab Dossier" about the new 15,000 frequency detector (because some people will believe anything).....
or sell a story about Bigfoot playing golf in Arkansas to the National Enquirer. (Bet CNN or PMS-NBC would buy it.)

I second that opinion, we need some gpod drtecting books Revier! I am in the process of publishing my first children's book about Atlantic Salmon.
