I thought we were all friends, here.:help:

I am not too far behind you age wise..... I felt kind of guilty posting them, as I am old enough to have fathered them. At our ages, they just look like nice looking creatures on our planet.

Now if only I was young again.:rage:

Welcome to the great fraternity of Garrett users. You purchased an excellent detector!

Any detector should pinpoint well. You just have to learn where the hot spot is in that coil. It just takes a little time and practice. If you detune your detector, it makes it even easier.

Here's a link to pinpointing with the DD coil, in case you haven't seen it.

Our water froze Monday night and we just got our pipes thawed about an hour ago. You don't miss your water until it freezes or the well goes dry. Good thing I bought some gallons of water for cooking and coffee.

Yeah, I got my Pro put up for the winter. My only game in town is the salt water beaches. Gotta hunt at low tide, and hunt between the high tide line and the low tide line. Even the dry sand freezes over enough that we can't penetrate it. I use a multifrequency unit at the beach. Yes, you Southerners should keep finding stuff and showing them to us, so we can see the light at the end of the tunnel (OMG, it's a train!). Artie

Hope we can post some finds, Artie. I've had the best weather for dirt fishing this fall and early winter except for the last few days, but just can't get out and go. I'm praying that 2014 will see all of us spending more time dirt fishing. I have such a wish list for this year.
First cache, first gold coin, first barber coins, first seated coins and on and on. Whether I find it or somebody else finds it doesn't matter as much as somebody finding some of these items and posting it so our snowed in brothers and sisters can get their fix. Yep, I'm addicted to dirt fishing and I have to satisfy my cravings. Just a low-down dirty dirt fishing junkie and the cure is under my coil the next time I swing it. GL & HH and everybody stay safe this year.
