I think I've had about enough of face book. I really don't care for the format. A few years ago the detecting world just kind of migrated over to FB. It had a couple of advantages like ease of posting in general as well as pictures with ease and videos But I am going to try to focus on regular forums like this one. There are assholes everywhere so that won't change but I think there are advantages to this format as well. I'm sure I will be both places But I'm going to try. Get out there.

I recently joined the X , thought it might be different but it's worse than Facebook. Everyone wants a like or looking for acceptance from an ass shot..I shut that account down.

same here well was on very shortly when it started my friends son has a ghost account only for buying stuff on marketplace

Ive been here for over 20 years because this is my only connection to the technical aspect of detecting. Ive learned so much from you guys.
I think the FB, X, etc is mostly crap. Everyone wants to show how great they are.

I have to say, Ive been a little disappointed in this site as its become very political vs metal detecting. I came here for MD. Ill probably stay here forever but I dont bother
to look at political stuff here.

Wish people would stay on point, metal detecting. There are plenty of other place for dems vs repub's etc. Just my humble opinion.

Donna, I’m guilty but it’s nice to hear about things going on. We definitely don’t hear it on MSM and not having cable or much data limits it. It’s tiring debating bat-blind and/or people with very little common sense. You do as I tell others “don’t read it” That’s how I deal with some ‘members’ as well. They have a right to post but I don’t like them or they either work for a detector company or are trying to get sponsored by them. Now as an administrator(?) you can’t say anything unflattering about their overpriced … or you get censored like you did when bidumb was in office. Forgive me, I couldn’t help teasing you with that part

Lots of detecting stories to read here.
The Views forum is anything goes ground.
I enjoy the political information posted here.
As MM said. It's difficult to find what's really going on in the world. And thru the conserted effort of many on the Views. We can see that information.
During the planned covid outbreak. People were censored everywhere but here and a few other sites.
I greatly appreciate those efforts to show the corrupt behavior of our Elite's

I dont read or reply to political stuff. I do ignore it. I usually check in every day to see' what's new' and the topics regarding MD'ing are fewer and fewer.

So I'll keep ignoring all the political stuff.

Hey guys please keep posting your great finds. Mine have dwindled down to nothing due to massive replenishment.
