I Ordered A New Coil For My Infinium:

Yeh I understand your situation down there.

I think I would have tried the importing thing after awhile from an internet dealer to just ship it international without the hassle of your one and only dealer there in that big country you are in.
Trying to save money but it can bite you in the butt sometimes. We have similar situation when we buy Minelabs here. The detectors are fairly easy to come by, but if you need parts or a fix, thats the crap part.

I have a Minelab Excallaber II diving machine and I lost the charger adapter and ordered one in June. It had to come from Austrailia. Dealer called yesterday and said it was in, FINALLY! Couldn't charge it until I get it.

When it comes to service there is nothing like residing on the continent with the Home Brand.

Early Excals use to have a connector that looks like the Ikelite ICS-2 wet connector, coincidentally Garrett Sea Hunter XL-500 PI Headphones uses the same connector.

I've got a spare one here somewhere.

Look it up "Ikelite ICS2 Wet Connectors".

Yep thats the one...except for the charger hole slot in the rear that Minelab added. Tried to find that one on the net, but to no avail.

Just checked in at our local prospecting supply dealer, they are in stock here.

If you still need one just say give the word, it'll be no trouble to slip one in an "Jiffy Bag''

Hey thanks Ivan...I finally found a dealer in Florida who had one in stock and is on its way, so now I can finally use that Excal II again.

Garrett has always replaced faulty coils, even if they take on water. They really back up their products.

I've had my Infinium LS coil replaced,................ got a brand new 10x14" mono.............in exchange for $$$$ cash.

Bearcat4160 if you are an authorized Garrett Spokesperson and you are on here telling someone to "shut up", do you think thats the Professional approach one would take while representing a Major company such as Garrett? If so, I would not buy a stick of gum from you. You would deffinatley not work for my company.

I dont sell gum....and dont want to work for you.

Ivan and I are buds and we did a good deal out of this and helped him out greatly since he is down under and had a bad run in with his dealer there.

Thanks for your concern Fisherdude...
