I find alot of things like these and I think ones a button and the other some type of buckle. What I can read on the button says"PA.PAT" and the front has a ivy design. The buckle still has what apears to be some kind of leather on the back side. Both were found in an area where Washington fought a battle or two right in that area if that helps any. I have a really crappy camera. The thing I'm guessing is a button comes up on my detector as silver.
 
can you go to photo shop, enlarge and crop on your computer? I have a crappy camera as well and this is the only way I can get clear photos for us detectors to see.
