I need an opinion or two....

Yeah, if your Spirit tells you to do something, dont over anaylize too much, just put some cash in an envelope anonymosely (I cant spell this am) maybe with a Christmas card and put it in her mailbox, or slip it into her car..she probably has many other needs besides tires. Anyway, you get out of the awkward situation if you keep it anonymous,
 
And if she gets into an accident, her insurance company may not pay for damages because she failed to maintain a safe vehicle. Bring these issues up to her and see what she has to say, if she doesn't have the money then offer to take her down to a tire store and buy her the tires as a Christmas present for the children to keep them safe. Do not hand over any money, she may spend it on something else. Children need to be kept safe, mama is not thinking clearly when she drives them around with bad tires on her car. Of course the kids would rather have a junk toy or something, but they will appreciate that someone has helped their mom.
