I just wanna say... a final goodbye

I can see I like the people on this forum. MDMac, I could not agree more. Keely, I did not know you, but so long. I am a proud Christian man, and though there are "hypocrites", that's not the fault of God. No one is a perfect Christian. You can not fault TRUE Christianity for the way some people live. A REAL Christian knows he or she is not worthy. As far as rape goes, that is a real tough thing for me, for reasons I will not say, but don't fight evil with evil. I wish we would castrate all of the sex offenders in the world, to give them what they deserve. I think is the view of most liberals to "counsel" them. They need to never see daylight again, not be re-released into public. The reason I hate abortion is because I love all children. They are the only Innocent thing on this earth. I will stand to the death to defend any child. Race has nothing to do with anything to me. God will never ask me why did I support anything that destroys what he has created.

James and Betty Robison

James Robison was born on October 9, 1943, in the charity ward of a Houston hospital. The product of rape, his 41-year-old mother originally sought an abortion, but the doctor would not comply. After putting an ad in the newspaper, his mother gave him up to Rev. and Mrs. H.D. Hale, pastors in the Houston suburb of Pasadena. He would remain with them for a few years, until his mother reclaimed him as a young boy and took him to her home in Austin.

Betty Freeman was born in a working class home in Lufkin, Texas, along with her three siblings. Her parents raised her in a Christian home. When they relocated to Pasadena, they attended the Baptist church pastored by Rev. Hale.

After many volatile years in Austin, during which James nearly shot his alcoholic, ill-tempered father, James returned to Pasadena to visit his foster parents. That short visit changed everything, as Mrs. Hale led the teenage boy to the Lord during a revival service. James and Betty began dating, and a short time later, James felt God's call on his life to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

James and Betty were married by Rev. Hale on February 23, 1963. Over the years, James' invitations to speak increased, and the crowds grew until he was addressing millions of people across America through citywide crusades in stadiums and coliseums.

By 1980, James and Betty had three children, a television ministry and influence in social, religious and political spheres. But many things were about to change...

Through a series of life-altering events, James and Betty began to experience a new level of spiritual freedom that changed their perception of God, themselves and ministry. James began ministering, and being ministered to, outside of his traditional Baptist circles. As the Holy Spirit dealt with the couple personally, they began to reach out to others in a fresh, dynamic way. God soon provide them an opportunity to minister in South Africa. There, they met local missionaries Peter and Ann Pretorius, who opened their eyes to the suffering of the African people.

The Lord led James and Betty into a new ministry of compassion, as they sought to meet the practical needs of the world's most desperate people while sharing the Gospel. In the early 1990s, this vision developed into a new television format, which enabled James and Betty to sit down and interact with a wide range of personalities--dynamic speakers, sports figures, politicians, entertainers and "ordinary" people. At the same time, they shared their vision to reach impoverished children by meeting their basic needs of food, clean water, shelter, clothing, medical care and, most importantly, the love of Christ.

Today, James and Betty have 11 grandchildren, a caring staff, mission partners worldwide and millions of lives impacted by their television program and mission outreaches.

They are grateful that God has allowed them to be part of His great commission to share His life and love with
people across the globe.

That's a great story BJ,
What people like Keely need to realize is that we as Christians are suppose to tell our brothers and sisters when they are living in sin. We are to love our neighbors, and part of this love is to try and led them to Christ. Our society is so " I have rights" yes you do, but a Christian will tell you when those "rights" are wrong in the eyes of God. We are required to. An immoral society made those rights, and the sin that goes with it, not God.

So Keely took his marbles and went home? How liberal can you get! Run and hide. Keep a closed mind. Blame everyone else for his problems. In a way, that kind of makes me sad, to know that someone has to live that way. How can you even enjoy life?

I apologize for saying "him" then. I love these "xxxx is a darn fine person." My wife has an ex-brother-in-law and everyone said what a wonderful man he was. Hard working, very honest, very cordial, etc... He worked in a sporting goods store. Then it was found out that he was taking high end fishing equipment, handguns and rifles, stealing them from work and selling them in the 'black market.' Very fine man indeed. Let's take someone who is considered VERY GOOD. Mother Teresa dedicated her life to serving the poor in India. Let's say theoretically she had too much wine one night, drove a car and killed someone. If someone did NOT know her and then read the headlines that she was a drunk driver and killed someone, what would their opinion of her be?

My opinion of Keely is that she posts her political beliefs and says she is never coming back. He or she who "fights and runs away", lives to "fight and run away" again. How closed minded can you get?

I have no idea about the politics of this website,,,as I am fairly new here....I really enjoy viewing the recoveries and some of the OT stuff....artwork ect...I have not been offended by the politics as I do not read those threads....This way I can stay clear of altercations....Keely you can remain and do the same....If you are the same Keely that I knew years ago...I know you have a lot of knowledge.... that can help out many of us....and your departure would be a loss to all....and FYI...That project you helped out on ...so many years ago... had a happy ending.....I can assure you at the end of the day....You will have made more friends than enemies if you chose to stay....Take care, jL aka jimmieluv

You are not going to win an abortion argument, no matter what side of the fence you are on. It's a futile effort. Same thing with a religion argument.

And guess what...they are BOTH man made. Hence the problem. Anything man makes, conceives or derives is going to have problems.

Man ( and I am using that term to encompass both men and women) states that life begins...WHEN ? At conception...after a certain point...when the couple THINKS about having a baby ? Who knows. Does God know ? What/Who/When/How is God ?

See...you can go round and round. Did God only create the victim and not the perpertrator ? NO ! How many children that were saved from abortion go on to commit murder, rape, etc. ? How many were saved that went on to become good, upstanding citizens in their community ? There will always be good and evil. Can't stress over that one.

The only thing that matters is that you stick to your convictions. In all honesty, when it comes to the whole abortion/religion thing...NO ONE KNOWS WHO IS RIGHT AND WHO IS WRONG. Especially when it comes to religion. Oh, people may say I am wrong. You have to believe, read the bible, go to church, etc. Well, what about those religious people from a different camp...with different beliefs and convictions. Are they wrong because they do not subscribe to the beliefs of others. Are all Christians correct and Mulims incorrect ? Nope.

Christians, Buddists, Muslims, Agnostics, Athiests, etc......NO ONE KNOWS. And I stand by this conviction unless someone proves me wrong.

If there is a God, and I have to stand in front of God Almighty and give the correct answer, I better know it or eternity isn't going to look pretty.

If there is not a God, then what's the use?
