I just bought a new f19

Mine arrived yesterday and camo as expected. 10" elliptical camo DD coil and I already had a 5" DD on hand on a spare lower rod.

Works as an F19 normally does and will serve me for modest Iron debris sites, some urban Coin Hunting, and even though I rely on my Tesoro's for most Tot-Lot work, the F19 will get used in the larger, more open areas.

And they are one of the few detectors that I like the looks of in camo. The F19 will be a useful complement to my terrific F75+.

Being a long time F 75, T 2 and Omega user, I can attest all the coils mentioned have their place, including the 6" concentric for the F 75. I would also state ugly is in the eye of the beholder and I would never be without the 11" biaxial coil. In fact, I have found more goodies with that coil over the years then all the others combined. It is the meat and potatoes coil of their detector line up. HH jim tn

Jim, trust me, I know what you are saying and what it can do. For me, however, I have spent zo many years searching some of the most challenging, iron infested sites with a lot of dense brush where I have relied on, and had to rely on, smaller-size coils and in favorable areas a mid-size coil works. Coils like Fisher, Teknetics and Bounty Hunter 11" BiAxial coils, or the Nokta and Makro models with their similar-looking 7X11 on the CoRe, Relic, Racer, Racer II, Impact and first Multi-Kruzer, all fit in the same category. They just are not the best size for me in most places, and to me they just look a bit ugly. But, that's just me.

I had to get a couple of coils out of my Accessory Coil Tote last night and in doing so my 11" BiAxial for the F75+ is already mounted on a lower rod ... should I ever need or want it, ... so I haven't totally ignored that coil. But I prefer my F75+ with the 6½" Concentric elliptical I keep mounted full-time, but have a FTP 5" DD and 5X8 MGC DD also at the ready for less trashy sites.

Well, Del, not so much of late. Wife slapped my hand pretty good for talking back to her and its now sore and black and blue. You'd think after 6 decades with the lady I would no better.

Monte, I hear you on your need for smaller coils. My favorite under size coil for the F 75 is the 5". Gets respectful depth and is like a laser when working heavy trash. I do, though, hunt on spots where 8, 9 and 10" coins are not all that un-common. Hence, why larger coils are my preference. And, both the F 75 and Equinox larger stock coils are partly darn good in heavy trash, too. Go dig a couple of goodies! HH jim tn

I knew the F75+ came with the 11" BiAxial, and I already had the MGC 5X8 DD on-hand but only a 5" DD for the F10/Greek series, etc. So when I ordered the F75+ I also got a brand new 10" elliptical Concentric, a 3½X6½ Concentric and the 5" DD. I really enjoy smalle4r coils and knew what the 5" could do as I had one with the last F75 camo unit i had. So in my hand-tote for the F75+ I have headphones, pin-pointer, and the new 5" DD coil. I decided I wanted to work with the small elliptical Concentric for a while to see what I thought about it for a lot of urban trashy areas for Coin Hunting. If it works OK for me it will stay on, but if not it will go and the 5" DD will take over in trashier sites.

PS: We sort of jumped the poster's topic about the F19 so I will just add that I have a good but small batch of detectors now that can cover all my needs. Knowing that but considering what the doctors have told me about my recouperability and likelihood to not get back to metal detecting, I have been considering a 'final' downsizing in hopes of just a little more time to enjoy it. Other than my very trusted Tesoro's, I might cut it to only about 5 detectors and it would also include my Apex, Relic, and definitely the F75+. At this point, if I keep just one more, it will be the F19.

I own/use both the NEL Snake & NEL Sharp on my F-19.----Seems like I get about the same performance out of either one of them.----Great little coils they both are!

I have used the Snake, Sharp and Makro's OOR[/Ì] and 5" DD coils on a Racer and Racer 2, and a Sharp and FTP 5" on an F19.

On my F75+ I bought the 3.5X6.5 Concentric and 5" DD from FTP and will compare their performance. Almost like a Sharp Vs Snake so far as size goes.

Most NEL coils I have used worked very well.

I agree with you 100% Jim!----There isn't anything "UGLY" about the FT 7"X11" biaxial coil.---I call it my "Halibut" coil & I love fish!----(IMO)--it's one of the best if not the best coils FT ever made for their detectors.----Del

Well, to me, the 11" BiAxial and similar looking coils from Nokta and Makro I just never cared for and do no have one in my home. I prefer the stock 5X9¾ DD that came on my F-19 Ltd. A good friend was in need of a 5" DD coil so I sold mine to him and now I need go track down a new 5 DD for the F-19 Ltd.

Best detector for the money

No argument there. Several detectors I currently own are a "best detector for the money" in their category and for general-purpose use. My F-19 Ltd., my Nokta FORS Relic, my Makro Racer, and my Tesoro Silver Sabre µMAX and Bandido II µMAX. The F-19 td. is always at-the-ready and I only need a new 5" DD to compliment it.
