They work best in single frequency 7.5 and 2.5 can be used as well, just not as good. The coils are not tuned to 22.5.
Many of them will work well enough for jewelry hunting or serious cladding. Full performance no.......but for the typical target they're used for, a Bigfoot will do fine! (Don't know about the Hotfoot though as it doesn't have the larger size for great ground coverage like the Bigfoot.) Some of the Bigfoots haven't aged in well so make sure and check them out.
