I found Hitler....believe it or not?

Here is the 3 things Ive found at the same location, with 1 new addition! An 18kt wedding band. The interesting thing about other than it just being an 18kt wedding band....its also stamped 1916....The same as the medallion in the picture. Gives more credibility that these have been lost for along time!

I will be going back!!!

And thanks to Ray-mo for selling me a good camera so I can take decent pics!

Was there any date on the container that the buckle was in?? There was a some White Supremacist movements here in the Pacific Northwest.

Man those are some exciting digs. I have to believe there is still potential there. Specially when you find stuff buried in cans and coated in oil.

Jeff

There container or....lack of one was too far gone to get any clues from it. The nazi party was more "organized" on the west coast than I thought. More info.... is trickeling in.

I have been back but no new items of any degree to note. Maybe I will find a panzer tank or something like that!

James,

I found a ring like your Hitler ring that is being auctioned in Europe/Germany, the highest bid is at 195 euros, which is $274.32 .

It appears that from the description at the bottom of the page this ring is very rare!!

I also found a belt buckle like your's as well, it is a Hitlerjugend (Hitler Youth) buckle.

I couldn't find any more info on the ring.

Skip,

Very good! 1 other person was able to come up with the same info as you about the ring but I hadnt had time to post it. It does show that the ring does exist and that there are more than one out there.

As for the belt buckle....pretty darn close but not exact match....one the metal is different and the other....the emblem is slightly different....probably close enough but I really dont know...who knows it might make some difference....maybe I will find out more. I do know now that there were lots of the belt buckles made and the number inside tell the story about who made them and when.

Thanks again for your great research! You were able to do what many people couldnt. Congrats!

Ol mountain man was right! Just found out today from Military buddy .....About 10 miles from where these items were found...there was a WWII POW camp.....makes you wonder huh?

Is it possible that during the war this was a farm where German POWs were permitted to work?

It is possible and they could have slept in the barn so lots of possibilities for things to get lost or buried.

Heres a new pic

Ok,,,,yes this is the closest I can get....thanks!

One thing to remember though...

P.O.W.'s were not allowed to keep Nazi items on their persons after being captured. A silver ring with Hitler on it or a Nazi buckle, those would have been confiscated.

The ring and others were found in a old barn and it was not in the same town as the POW camp but was roughly 10 miles away. Germans owned the original property so it probably had something to do with them or their relatives.

More likely then the items were hidden. Best not to ask too many questions of the family. It's probably something they'd rather not remember.

I think they were lost as they were not all together and took me several times hunting to find them. As stated previously, The family did not want these items ....but they did want the coins I found and I was happy to give them to them. I did not ask too many questions...its their property and their business.....Im just there for fun!
