I do not like colored detectors !

Well this is just a forum. And this is winter too.

Reaction differs according to the countries.

Here, I'm glad to see that some of you think just the same. A metal detector is no toy.

I have respect for different opinions, and personally like Tabdog's "Speedy Compadrez". But this is a personal mod. Not the same.

The general trend seems to be 50/50.

When I was a kid (early 70s) the local coin shop carried Bounty Hunters... all those anodized colors! I thought they were cool.

Well, my tastes are a little more subdued now, but I'm still not a Big Fan of the all-black detectors. I like color, as long as it looks classy. I'm partial to Garnet & Gold (Seminoles) so I did a custom DFX in that scheme. It got no traction at White's, though.

They now come in generic and different styles like hardwood and wheat fields, at least I thought I saw that at the local outdoor superstore last year.

My XT-70 is grey and black, their 30 is red and the 50 blue.
