I do not like colored detectors !

What about you, guys.

I don't like them. !

Yellow, green, blue, red, beige.

IMHO, detectors are scientific instruments, no toys !

Black and grey seems more acceptable to me, as they involve discretion.

So, do you agree with this??

Or just not...

I think it's more of a company thing-Garrett green, Tesoro beige, BH black, Whites blue, etc. I never worry about color or looks, just what the detector does.

To each his own, but I think there are much more important issues to be concerned about.

If you don't like the color, a can of paint will take care of it.

Seems like everything has color these days... the days of beige test equipment are limited.

My Fluke multimeter is yellow
My Unfors X-Ray Dose meter is silver and blue
My Fluke Net Tool is blue and green
My oscilliscope is red and black
My photometer is blue
and so on.....

Even my pelican cases are green

I have a few Garretts and Green an't Good in the south western Desert! Man it gets really hot and can't be good for the electronics.

I've had to put a towel over it a few times just to keep it from going funky.

There is a girl out there with a Pink ACE 250!:surprised:

Two bucks should get you a paint spray can of any color you could imagine, so buy your favorite detector, and change the color to your hearts desire. You can even add stripes, poka - dots or stickers to even make it more unique. Mmmmmm, could make a great contest too

I dress mine up in a camo cover...............

But I was getting used to saying "I'll take the blue and green one today".
Short for Bulldog Blue and Greedy Green.

Is that black for stealth detecting-----I mean capable of getting the job done at night----I mean on private property:biggrin:
