After doing a lot of research, watching a lot of Utube videos, and reading what a lot of owners have to say about the Minelab X-terra elite, I finally placed my order for one. I really like what I have both seen and heard about the Elite. When Minelab released the updated versions of the X-terra elite, and pro, for the price of what these two offered in options, I thought, No Way. Something is amiss here. A lot of thought and technology went into these two X-terra models. I went with the expedition package, and again this has to be one of the best deals offered that I can remember since I started detecting seriously back in 1981. I'm looking forward to receiving the Elite and work with it. I injured my right shoulder back in March, and I need to try a lighter unit. The Elite seems to foot the bill, and offer all the options that I need in a detector. Thanks to the ones who own the elite and took the time and answered some of my questions in regards to the X-terra. If I may say so, I went with one of our sponsors here, at BBH's.
