I decided on getting a Impact.....

Good grief!!-----After reading all this, I'll be passing on the Impact.----I'm sure plenty of other people feel the same way.-----I know this post/thread is about the Impact---but---as to repair, I certainly hope our two FORS Relics don't break.---Wonder if Kellyco could/would repair them?----Wouldn't want to have to send them to Turkey.

Nokta needs some one like the Makro distrib, which is a wonderful company to deal with, to handle both brands if Kellyco can't stand up to the plate.

I talked to my Kellyco contacts, they reached out to Nokta and Nokta agreed to make the Impact 5" coil and middle rods available for sale as accessories so as soon as Kellyco gets them in stock they will be available for sell..
That's good to hear, but what is a decent answer for why the big outfit Kellyco HASN'T been stocking the 5" DD coil? It's been in production and announced and asked for by many for a few months before there was a 7" Concentric coil. And the Impact has been out since early in the year, so why no middle rods for it?

And if they are a 'Distributor' for Nokta or any other metal detector brand, that would suggest they have a Dealer base and should support it, but I have never found on the Kellyco website ANY LISTING for 'local dealers' they support or provide product for. If they had dealers you would think a Dealer would have asked their Distributor for inventory and customer requests, such as a terrific 5" DD coil. Therefore they should have had them in-stock for their Dealers as well as Consumers.

I'm curious who you are, and just who your "Kellyco Contacts" are such that they have now magically gotten ahold of Nokta and Nokta has 'agreed' to make Impact 5" coils and middle rods available. I am certain that they HAVE BEEN available, but Kelly just never looked at Nokta's products and placed an order for them. There's no new 'agreed' bearing on it by Nokta, it is simply a matter of Kellyco placing an order. Something any Dealer would do, if they dealt directly with the manufacturer, but instead they have to go through a Distributor who has not ordered in an available search coil or rod piece for months. Not even listed in a catalog or on-line, and a Steve and three other people I have spoken with there told me they didn't carry those items or knew they existed.

Oh, you can go to Kellyco's website and there is a description of what a big deal Kellyco is and fill out a Kellyco Vendor Application to be a Dealer they supply, but they don't list any Dealers. And, again, people I spoke to there told me Kellyco was just a Dealer and that Distributor and Dealer meant the same thing, retail sales.

I know, I ought to shut up, but I can't. I had products stolen and have checked sources to re-outfit my detector battery and accessories that were also stolen, and Kellyco didn't have some of what I wanted/needed. And this past month or so I have had phone calls and e-mails from people all across the USA and up in Canada who have expressed the same feelings to me. Kellyco didn't have the products they should have as a Distributor, and they don't seem to be going out of their way to help promote detectors and accessories to any serious Metal Detector Dealers, either.

Nope, too many years, decades even, of not being very impressed with Kellyco for various reasons, both as a consumer, as a former detector Dealer, and even back when I worked for a once major manufacturer. I had been hoping that with some of the changes we have seen in the detector industry in recent years there may have been a more active change in how Kellyco operated. I haven't seen it, and I know quite a few avid detectorists and dealers/former dealers who haven't either.

Just my personal thoughts. If I somehow missed an easy-to-see access to Dealers they supply on their website, please show me the oversight and I'll stand corrected.

My contacts are Kellyco management, I am personal friends with multiple members of management. Kellyco can only sell what they have in stock and from part numbers provided from the manufacturer, stock comes from Turkey. Members complained there was no 5" coil or middle rods available so I reached out and talked to my contacts with Kellyco who then reached out to Nokta and as stated they will be made available when the stock arrives.

ANY detector from ANY manufacturer can have a glitch show up. I just saw where Kellyco has their in-house service center to repair Nokta's, and that's good if it is needed.

I have always pampered my detectors, and in over fifty years I have seldom had a manufacturing issue, and really none on my part from use. I don't abuse any detector. I have had two failures or needs for service with 2 Teknetic's Euro Tek Pro's. There was 1 Compass Gold Scanner Pro. Maybe 5 different Garrett models since 1977. Perhaps 6 or 7 White's detectors, going back to may of '71 and as recent as 2012, but over 9 or 10 search coil failures when either brand new or with less than 10 hours of use that needed repair or replacement. Only 2 Tesoro detectors. And other former detector makers also left me with 1 to 3 each defective units from Gold Mountain Technologies, D-Tex, Discovery, several others, and I won't even try to count the number of Bounty Hunter units.

However, the only problems I have had with any Nokta or Makro detector was when they disappeared over a month ago, and that wasn't their fault. I have owned several FORS CoRe, FORS Relic and now three Impact devices and I haven't had, and don't anticipate, product failures. They work very reliably, are built quite durably, and leave me with no concern about the circuitry design engineering and build quality. My oldest son uses a FORS CoRe, and many friends use different Nokta devices to include the CoRe, Relic, Impact or a blend of any two or three of them ... without issue. The same holds true of the sibling company, Makro. If or when there has been something that needed be to addressed, it was usually quickly taken care of by the factory, but that has mostly been related to search coils.

Get a Nokta Impact. Learn it and adjust the desired for the 12 different search modes, all of which are easy to access and adjust, then pick one or two favorite search coils for it (and don't forget to include the 7" Concentric coil in the mix!) and you'll have a very versatile detector for almost any application, and go about life without any need to worry about failures afield.

Planning an Impact/Concentric afternoon tomorrow when we get into the mid-to-upper 40° range.

Im gonna keep my relic send back my impact I had a very unpleasant vacations with it :(

had this issues with my impact from day one:
the rod was very tight to go in and out so I only been able to use 1 coil and never dispensable the unit from day one
low audio with my headphones "this sucks in gen mode" the only way I got better audio was with a cmoy headphone amplifier from ebay
getting iron "low" tones even on 2 inch coins were my relic and mxt will be dead on audio and the vdi, non digable signals

I hope I dont have any issues returning the product

Dilek on the other hand has been awesome & help me with some issues with my relic, Im thinking to get my second relic directly from them they really go the extra mile on my relic

Since Kellyco is the US Distributer other dealers in US are getting their Impacts from Kellyco right? So if I buy from a dealer other than kellyco they are not likely to have a 7" concentric or a 9.5"x5"dd coil in stock because that dealer can't get them from Kellyco (who either can't or won't order them from Nokta) which means I have to order the coils directly from Nokta in Turkey?
