I decided on getting a Impact.....

Hi folks, I decided to get a Impact. Does anyone know of a dealer selling them. You can send me a pm if so. Thanks, GS P.S. I will not buy from Kellyco.

Why not from kellyco? I had a problem with mine they sent me an replacement asap

Incidetectors. Located in Turkey, but offers a fantastic service, the only place I buy my Nokta and Makro gear from.

Owning and Using a Nokta Impact can be a very enjoyable thing, and I especially like to use my primary Impact with the 7" Concentric search coil. All the other coils have their place, but my 2nd favorite coil is the mid-sized 5X9½ DD, then the 5" DD for the ugliest of iron debris challenged sites.

I had to replace the Impact that was stolen from my vehicle a month ago, and this one was purchased from Incidetectors on 'the bay', and I have several friends and acquaintances I've met who use Nokta and Makro devices and have used this same source with excellent service.

I would have called North Georgia Relics for one, but I also would have asked if he gets his inventory from Kellyco. Like you, I don't care to deal with Kellyco and know a number of long-time detectorists who also refuse to, or prefer not to, do any business with them. In the Impact backpack bag that was also stolen, with a lot, lot more, I had all of my Impact accessory c oils and rods. That included the excellent 5" DD that is able to handle the toughest test I have done quite well and is a must-have for many Relic Hunting sites that are very, very densely iron plagued.

I hadn't found any US dealer listing the 5" DD, so I called Kellyco ... three times and talked with three different people ... and was told they don't have it, and it's not even in their product catalog or on their website, which I already knew. I also want to get 2 more lower Impact rods and 4 Impact middle rods, but Kellyco doesn't list the middle rod for the Impact either. Not what I call a very good Distributor to not have product to distribute or retail. That's aside from the bad dealings I have seen over the past 30+ years, so I always look for a different Dealer source.

Other than Incidetectors, if you find a good dealer in the US of A, be sure to let folks know.

I don't care for Kellyco either, like you bad issues in the past and sometimes bad rude Customer service. Might be holding many off buy a Notka product. The US Makro distributor trumps Kellyco on everything. They should have the Notka distributorship! No different her in Canada, you have to buy from Kellyco. Now that you have an Notka dealer overseas who will ship to the US, that's a plus.

I didn't buy my Nokta from Kellyco and I'm from Canada. I bought it from Canadian Treasure Seekers but it is possible the stock is distributed from Kellyco. I don't want to deal with Kellyco directly. Why are there so few dealers of Nokta products in North America compared with Makro which seems to be widely available (detectors and accessories) ?

Also, some coils seem to be super rare if not impossible to find around here. I had to buy my FC24 5 X 9.5 from a UK dealer.

I was going to buy an Impact. when i was researching it on the Nokta site i'd seen they have a new promotion "year end sale" free pinpointer ,hat and s stand . Bounus i get a new pinpointer! for my cdn $1350 for an impact pro pack. I contacted my "canadian" dealer for more info and they are un aware of any promo . They get nokta stock from kellyco. So i contacted nokta they told me its a global promo. Then i contacted kellyco , they only said they have the impact on sale but no promo offered . no help to me in Canada. I am going to get a nokta some day but untill they get their ducks in a row and communication figuered out i going to wait . I'd hate to see the mess if i needed warranty. maybe Makro?

I found a mx sport new for 50% off , NOT at all what i wanted but its under warranty and i know i can get warranty if needed . ( not even close to a nokta, )

Whites never fail, hard as nails, buy the one with 9 inch coil and then get a detech sef 8x6

Mx sport has a waterproof coil connection. Only mx sport coils fit

Well, if the Impact and other Noktas are slow sellers in the US, its like many of us who have dealt with Kellyco in the past and or thru word of mouth, just won't deal with them. They lose a sale.
I would have contacted Dilek at Nokta and asked if she would honor the promo and ship you the goodies if you supplied a sales receipt that you purchased an Impact. Too bad your looking at another brand.

Yes i think Nokta is missing lots of sales in Canada due to poor / no dealer support . I did go with the mx sport and regret it already .......only ran it 5 hrs - warranty time. hopefully not coming back.

MX Sport has its problems looks like it still has. Some swear by it running it at one particular setting.

Yes, I believe they are getting them from Kellyco, sad to say. And if Kellyco doesn't, or won't, stock all the products we might need, the few dealers who buy from them won't have it either. For example, no middle rods for the Impact and no 5" DD coil for the Impact, either. And they tout themselves as being a major Distributor and not just a Dealer, yet don't carry adequate inventory for consumers.

I know they are not my favorite 'go-to' detector and accessory source, and the same goes for many, many others, at least here in the USA that I have met or heard from.

I feel it is from several reasons. One, the Makro Racer has a sleek, nice-looking appearance that caught the eye of the consumer. The Nokta's that were mainly on the market until early this year, were the FORS series, such as the FORS Gold and CoRe, or the FORS Gold Plus and Relic. Most people look at them and decide they are a heavy, awkward-looking package because they have never held them. They just 'look' kind of heavy, or 'appear-to-be' oversized and unbalanced kind of like the Minelab 4500 or other PI units that ARE heavy.

But in reality, the Nokta FORS series are some of the best balanced detectors I have eve used, especially withy coils like the standard 7X11 and the larger 13X15 when needed. Even more comfortable with a mid-sized or small coil; mounted.

Then there is the manner the Makro and Nokta detectors have been Distributed. We all know Kellyco has a major presence, everywhere, as a dealer source, but as a Distributor that's different. For one thing there are far fewer 'local dealers' that what we had in the '70s, '80s and early '90s. And the remaining dealers usually don't care to deal with Kellyco as a Distributor because they are also a major competitor, as well as some dealers have a sour taste of them already for other reasons.

Honestly, I wish there was a different Distributor and that Nokta and Makro both had a greater visual presence here in North America, both north and south of our border. East-to-West! Excellent products providing great performance at very competitive prices for durable, well made detectors. But terrible inventory and marketing as a Distributor in my opinion, and that's those are the main reasons in my opinion.

As I said, Kellyco doesn't stock the 5" Impact coil or the Impact middle rods, and who knows what else. They tell me those accessories are not even in their product catalog or on-line, the latter I already had checked.

The new 5X9½ DD open-frame coil is working well for me. I have one Impact with that coil mounted full-time, and I have the FC24 and FR24 mounted on spare lower rods for my CoRe and Relic devices as well. Rugged, yet attractive coils that are Nokta made coils comparable to the aftermarket NEL and CORS similar offerings, and I always prefer to use a detector manufacturer's own coils when possible.

I have reached out to Kellyco to find out what the issue is with the 5" inch Impact coils and Impact middle rods. Remember Kyco can only sell what Notka provides them with, 5" coil comes with the pro pack, maybe Nokta is not selling it as separate coil. I will update thread when I get more answers.

Im having issues with middle rod, they sent me other one with same issues

The 5" round DD coil doesn't come in the Pro Pack. The Pro pack includes the 3x6" dd coil. KellyCo leaves a lot to be desired. It's easy to see why Nokta/Makro went with them as their distributor for the U.S. but KellyCo's customer service fails compared to what we have experienced from Nokta/Makro directly. If KellyCo could only step up to their outstanding level of service, we'd really have something.

I talked to my Kellyco contacts, they reached out to Nokta and Nokta agreed to make the Impact 5" coil and middle rods available for sale as accessories so as soon as Kellyco gets them in stock they will be available for sell..

That's good to hear, but what is a decent answer for why the big outfit Kellyco HASN'T been stocking the 5" DD coil? It's been in production and announced and asked for by many for a few months before there was a 7" Concentric coil. And the Impact has been out since early in the year, so why no middle rods for it?

And if they are a 'Distributor' for Nokta or any other metal detector brand, that would suggest they have a Dealer base and should support it, but I have never found on the Kellyco website ANY LISTING for 'local dealers' they support or provide product for. If they had dealers you would think a Dealer would have asked their Distributor for inventory and customer requests, such as a terrific 5" DD coil. Therefore they should have had them in-stock for their Dealers as well as Consumers.

I'm curious who you are, and just who your "Kellyco Contacts" are such that they have now magically gotten ahold of Nokta and Nokta has 'agreed' to make Impact 5" coils and middle rods available. I am certain that they HAVE BEEN available, but Kelly just never looked at Nokta's products and placed an order for them. There's no new 'agreed' bearing on it by Nokta, it is simply a matter of Kellyco placing an order. Something any Dealer would do, if they dealt directly with the manufacturer, but instead they have to go through a Distributor who has not ordered in an available search coil or rod piece for months. Not even listed in a catalog or on-line, and a Steve and three other people I have spoken with there told me they didn't carry those items or knew they existed.

Oh, you can go to Kellyco's website and there is a description of what a big deal Kellyco is and fill out a Kellyco Vendor Application to be a Dealer they supply, but they don't list any Dealers. And, again, people I spoke to there told me Kellyco was just a Dealer and that Distributor and Dealer meant the same thing, retail sales.

I know, I ought to shut up, but I can't. I had products stolen and have checked sources to re-outfit my detector battery and accessories that were also stolen, and Kellyco didn't have some of what I wanted/needed. And this past month or so I have had phone calls and e-mails from people all across the USA and up in Canada who have expressed the same feelings to me. Kellyco didn't have the products they should have as a Distributor, and they don't seem to be going out of their way to help promote detectors and accessories to any serious Metal Detector Dealers, either.

Nope, too many years, decades even, of not being very impressed with Kellyco for various reasons, both as a consumer, as a former detector Dealer, and even back when I worked for a once major manufacturer. I had been hoping that with some of the changes we have seen in the detector industry in recent years there may have been a more active change in how Kellyco operated. I haven't seen it, and I know quite a few avid detectorists and dealers/former dealers who haven't either.

Just my personal thoughts. If I somehow missed an easy-to-see access to Dealers they supply on their website, please show me the oversight and I'll stand corrected.

What annoys me the most is having to order from overseas to get simple accessories that should be readily available. My Nokta cover was hard to find and way too expensive to buy here so I got one from the UK for less than half the price. It took almost a month to arrive. Same thing for the 5.5 X 9.5 open coil which doesn't even seem to exist in North America.

Got my Impact today. Got the wireless headphone bound and ready. Come on weekend.
