I BUILT a NEW SCOOP.... WHAT DO YOU THINK ??

Unless you never hunted in the water you can't believe the torque put on the handle...Look for yard sales as many old implements had oak handles which hold up very well are usually cheap and
float which is a plus...Way back when when I made a few broke a lot of handles but the one with the old oak handle still sits in my garage...I think I paid a few bucks for it and at one time was a rake of sorts...Super job but that handle is a  when it snaps(hope it don't).....

Thank you everyone for your comments.

It only weighs 3.3 lbs

I have used it in the hardpan with no problems yet. I would like to give it a few months to find out for sure.

I constructed the whole thing so that it can be easily disassembled if I need to replace a part for an upgrade.
I recently found a new flag holder that has 13 teeth instead of 1. Which will strengthen it up more.

The bucket is about 1/8" thick. Very strong

As for the handle it is tripple wall aluminum. In reallity it will only be extended maybe a foot or so for the tallest person. So having one tube inside of another inside of another actually makes it a bit stronger.

Im currently working on a new ergonomic dry sand scoop.

Thanks again.

test test test and look how its works, everything like projeckt looks perfect, just to much energy on driling holes, its no need to make so precise until you dont know how this will work...good luck Stasys

Hi Ferd. Good work, but it's a lot weight to deal with out there in the water.

Bought a Diamond head scoop yesterday, cost me 270 USD here in Norway  but it's a good scoop.

Good hunt Jens.
