Hello everyone.
I built myself a new scoop the other day.
Took a trip to Home Depot, Lowes and Walmart to find what I needed.
I have about $ 43.00 invested.
I wanted to make something fully adjustable that I could breakdown if I had to.
It extends from 45" to 72" long with 6 lock in length settings.
It has an adjustable angle scoop with 11 different angles to choose from and lock in.
A thick padded handle. (A thicker handle keeps your hand from cramping as opposed to a thin handle).
For the scoop I drilled smaller holes in the back half of the bottom and the lower half of the back. Then medium holes on the first lower section, and larger holes at the top section. The reason for this was. The bigger holes are to quickly sift. The smaller holes were placed where they are to catch smaller items like ear studs. I placed the small holes at the back and bottom, because this is where the smaller items will sift to. So they wont fall through.
I also left a solid band around the scoop and behind the scoop for stability.
Items I used were:
Shure-Line adjustable broom handle.
flag holder
trash can
stainless steel bolts
All parts are alluminum...
The longest part was hand drilling all the holes (388 of them).
I would appreciate your feedback and comments.
Thanks
