Hunt #17 with the V3i

My coin count is starting to go up. Got this set of keys, all look like the same key. It has a flash drive connected to the keys. This is the 3rd or 4th flash drive I have found. Has anyone tried to see what is on a flash drive that they have found? Could I damage my computer by plugging this flash drive in? I always throw them away. Never plugged one in. Found a round metal button with a shank on it. Kind of different. The watch is a Timex with moisture inside and none of the buttons work. Probably shot? And the 1913 wheat came from a swimming pool area that was built a few years ago.
It was a good day hunting. Thanks for looking and Happy Trails....Z

That Clad adds up fast. Good hunt congrat on the 1913 wheat:twodetecting::cheers:

You can run a virus scan on the flash drive before opening it up for viewing.

Thanks Tim for the replies to my posts they are always encouraging to me. I am having a good time using the V3i if I get confused while doing my adjusting all I do is a RESTORE... Thanks Steve I think I will toss it and not take the change. Happy Trails.....Z

Although it's possible to fry something with a bad electrical connection, I think you'd be pretty safe connecting one up. My concern besides dirt would be moisture in the components. So you could just let it sit on the window sill for a couple weeks in the sun to dry it out. And then plug it in, as long as you don't run a file off the thumb drive, virus's are unlikely. I haven't found any yet myself but I'm sure I'd be curious about whats on the drive. Some of the newer drives are fully encapsulated so even moisture isn't likely an issue.

Even though hes swinging a very mighty bow In the V3i, I think Zeek could swing a tree branch and still knock down a stinky heap of finds! Awesome stack of loot there buddy!

Aurium it will probably be Rap music on the drive? Or maybe the secrets of the universe? Either case I have no interest. They are both beyond my understanding. I chucked it.
Mud Thanks. I am very surprised at how well I am taking to the V3i. Turned down the sensitivity and a few other things. Tightened up the coin numbers and it is so quiet. You can do so much with the V3 in adjusting and tweaking that sometimes it gets to me and I am lost. So I just go to restore and start all over with factory program. There are a lot of videos about using the V3 and I am always looking for new ones. I don't know much about the V yet but it is coming along. Thanks again..Happy Trails...Z
PS It is over 4 pounds but the balance is so good I am already up to 4 hour hunts with it. I am using the 10" coil. Will be getting the 4x6" very soon.
