HUGE Pocket spill...24 coins in one hole.

Of course it was all pennies. 24 pennies in one hole and not ONE dime, nickel, or quarter? C'mon. All modern clad. Then I moved 2 feet over and hit 5 Wheats. Two of them were 1919. I was working an old Estate that hasn't been around since the 40's. Tons of trash, but did pretty well with the clad. I keep hitting these old wheats every day, so I know those dimes and quarters are there too. Just a matter of sweeping them. With the weekend just about here I have a new spot I wanna try. It's an old city park in a bad neighborhood, but back in the 40's & 50's there was an amusement park and circus there. I figure if I get there at the crack of dawn all the druggies and hookers will still be asleep. lol

Nice hunt you are giving that Etrac a work out !!!!

I once found 50 clad pennies in a small area, It was CRAZY but i could not stop the retrieval

As for going real early in Bad neighborhoods, that is the only way to do it

Good Luck and keep your cell phone handy

I once found in a 3' by 3' area 191 memorials, 1 wheat and 1 canadian penny. It was at a local park and I think they did one of those coin tosses for the kids to find, next year at the same spot I got 90+ pennies before I got tired of scratching them out.

Concealed carry is an option that I would rely on if I was in the US. I'm licensed to carry in a few states, but I don't live in the US. Just something to look in to.

I'm a retired Army MP, and have a CCP. I'm in PA which is also an Open Carry state, so when I'm hunting I'll keep my XD on my hip and in the open to deter anyone from even considering me a "soft target". :)

Wish it could of been 24 silver dimes or quarts, still nice hunt

Good hunt, We have a park that can be intimidating to hunt.We have had our best luck in the morning, But anything after about noon and it started to get uncomfortable. The good part about parks in rough areas is most people won't or don't detect them. Usually there are great finds to be had if you can get to them safely. My brother has pulled some great old silver in said park. Sounds like you are ready to go.:usaa: Thanks for your service to your country now go get that silver. Dan

No, it wont. It's against the law to charge a legal permit carrying individual just for open carry. There was a recent case here in Philly that made huge headlines because the officers were ignorant to the law and tried such a thing. It was quickly dismissed and a memo sent out reminding police of the law. Not sure where you got your info., but it's not true.

Found 38 pennies in a spot once. Found out later that an outdoor vendor had missed his cash register with a handfull of pennies and didn't bother/remember? to fish then out of the wood chips at the end of the day.

don't bet on it! protect yourself!

nh is open carry, but would advise against this, because people get "spooked"
and rat on ya anyway! concealed carry with your hand on your piece in your pocket
when the sh**bags show up! i absolutely refuse to live my life in fear!.just sayin'
