How Y'all doin

Running Bowline

A running bowline is a standard bowline tied around its own standing part. Don't even think about taking a tree down without a tag line. With a throwing weight and throw line, one can install a tag line in any tree without climbing. Once the line is around the appropriate portion of the trunk, the grounds person can tie a running bowline and send the knot all the way to point of attachment.

A couple of buddies that are going to help me trim and pull these rascals down. Bad thing is that my back yard is totaly fenced in and on a hill side so no truck... Maybe I can talk Greg into pulling with my riding mower LOL. Naaa wouldn't do that to him. I've took 3 apples and 2 cherrys out of the yard in the past but man these pines have me a little leary. I reckon if it don't rain Friday will be the day. Thanks for the imput Vern, I'll try not to mash anything or get myself killed. By the way, my brother-in-law Greg has worked for a tree cutting outfit for about 10 years so I don't think we'll have any problems. Flipper out.
