how many of you find that All-metal multi-tone is the answer for your hunting expeditions?

All metal is zero discrimination. But you can make one of the patterns zero discrimination by pushing the accept and reject button to reject every number. Just scroll through every number and hit the accept button. That will take the x off that number and it is now accepted.

Thanks for all the helpful information Digger , I just purchased a 705 and I was wondering if you could please explain how to program all discrimination , thanks for your help

Thanks 7centsworth , sorry for the multiple questions but I thought they didn't go thru , I was wondering if all metal was the same, now I know

Do you mean 0 discrimination? If so it's any of your patterns 1 thru 4 with nothing notched out, it's almost like AM but I believe in discrimination mode it assigns it to a bin segment . I'm no expert so don't take my word for it

If your running in AM there should be nothing notched out I think it's more based on TID consistency and sound.. Not sure again but I run in 99tones discrimination pattern 1 nothing notched out

I'm new to the 705 (had it about 4 weeks now) and minelab detectors (coming from a Tesoro Silver uMax and an Teknetics T2) I usually run my 705 in Discriminate pattern 1 with -8 and 48 notched out with 99 tones. sensitivity at around 19 to 20 lower in real trashy areas . I have the 3 kHz 9 inch cc coil and the DD 18.75 elliptical coil.
