How Ironic.....I Went Prospecting Yesterday. Lost My Glasses, A Detectorist (myself) Found Them This Morning

Yesterday was St. Patrick's day. Well, the sun came out, so I headed down to the river. While walking in the woods towards the river, I ran into a leprechaun. He pointed me in the right direction to where the pot of gold was buried. After two different ropes to safely get myself down to the river, I found the only open spot......about 30 feet of shoreline with no ice. So, I dug for a couple of hours and there it was........"GOLD." After I shoveled gravel for a couple of hours, I realized my glasses were not on my face. A quick search yielded nothing. I headed home, thinking that perhaps I left them there in the first place. 🤢

I got up early this morning before anyone else might hit the trail and step on them. It did snow a bit overnight. After about 5 minutes, there they were, partially sticking out of the snow. And totally intact! Made My day. However, I couldn't help but wonder if that mischievous leprechaun had set me up for this.

All is good! I got my eyeglasses back and I did find some gold. 🧡

Nice.
I hate losing glasses.
Don't have to worry. Puppy always finds them.
Loves chewing on the soft nose pieces.
Two brand new pairs of glasses gone.
