Hot rocks nightmare - updated -

I have a few areas where hot rock seemed to make it impossible to hunt. I used a 5" or second choice 8" coil, use ferrous tones, set the sens to auto, and keep lowering it until it is stable. Even with the sensitivity in the mid teens the Explorer is still a powerful machine and I was able to move slow and pick out some nice targets. If it's rocky chances are coins haven't fallen too deep anyway.
