A fellow forum denizen did a little Internet research and PM'd me a link to the site where the reference to "GB2 made in China" was found.

Surprisingly, it was a respected multiline dealer (including Fisher) whom I know personally, although it's been a long time since we've been in contact. It appears that he was given misinformation by someone whom he mistakenly regarded as a reliable source of "inside dope" about Fisher.

Just a curious question.... for a produt to be made in the USA...does that mean the OX also must be made in the USA ? So it can not have cardboard recycled from waste in china ?
