I didn't read each and every reply, but did anyone mention getting a hunting buddie to go with you? "strength in numbers"..I recently met a retired sheriff and although we don't hunt together all the time (I'm not retired yet) we do hunt together much later in the evening then he or I would by ourselves..I too am still in Law Enforcement, and carry my off-duty with me, not only to protect me, but anyone who may be endangered.....
