High End Detector Owners ..do you?

Very true Jason!-----The risk of using (excessive) discrimination on the high end machines isn't that you will loose depth but rather the risk of masking (blanking out) a desirable adjacent target.-------This is really a good post/thread discussion, you guys got me wanting to go gold jewelry hunting again! :)--------Del

You need to move into the 21st century. Discrimination doesn't affect depth on the high end machines. That was true up to the 1990s machines, but not anymore.
 
I think Tom_IN_CA makes a very valid point. Detector settings are adjustable and the user can decide for them selves how they prefer to hunt. I generally hunt with just small iron disced out, but when I find I'm in pulltab heaven I may kick it up a bit. More power to those that "dig it all" I wish them the best, but not all of us have the patience.
