Hello,
I' m from Greece and if you want tell me your opinion about Hi Pro programm on Vectra V3.
The best settings for depth (for coins).

I started with the stock settings, then just raised or reduced RX to meet the local soil conditions. I would expect that for Greece, and your soil conditions that would work very well.

Probably the best thing for you to do is build a test garden (buried targets) that would allow you to test with the types of coins and metals that you are planning
to search for. Then tune the machine to get the maximum performance.

I copied this from another forum. The writer is in Italy. Maybe it will have some application to Greece, I don't know. The author does not speak english. I hope he does not mind his post being re-posted. His name is PiadaKid and you can probably find the original post by doing a google search of his name.

My apologies and compliments to the author!

Span 45
Wrap -94

Filter & Speed
Ground Filter: 7,5Hz Band
Recovery Dalay: 65

Search Audio:
Tone ID: On--> Custom
Modulation: Off

Tone ID set:
Start from VDI +95 with 244 tone
+94 and 243; +93 and 242 and so on until -10
From -11 to -50 use 100 tone

Note:
If you want go deep on the small targets with V3, you
must accept at least until VDI -40. Most of the ancient
Italian coins are usually very small and if it's deep,
maybe produce some negative VDI mixed by positive VDI.
If you discriminate, you lost a lot of deep coins.
Also a coin not in perfect flat position under the ground prouduce
a VDI a lot less then normal!
This program is good for any purpose anyway, because Iron
has a low tone and is easy to recognize.

Happy Small Hunting

Thanks I' ll try and will be back again.
Realy here we have different conditions and ways of hunting coins.

Aurium is on the right track. I'd work my way up until it got unstable then back it down a little. I would not sacrifice sensitivity for RX. I would see how the lower filters worked and go slow. I've also been having good luck with running MY hi pro in stereo mixed mode. If the area is trashy, I wouldn't use the mixed mode and would back down on the settings.
