Yeah, they (Minelab) cares for us (our pocket books that is).----As I remember (at their request) Minelab wanted suggestions for CTX "updates".----Ok, they got 'em--many of them very reasonable & do-able.------How many has been implemented these years since CTX release?---Most CTX users know the answer to that one.:veryangry:

Yep I checked for 4 years on this site expecting every week to see the update was coming. I gave up a few months ago and sold my beloved ctx.Not because I didn't like it but because It was a stagnant financial liability.Sad I was a huge minelab fan back in the day

An Exchange update expanding the amount of characters you can type in for naming finds, locations is a 10 minute fix. Why have the updates fallen on deaf ears?

Any by the way Minelab many of us, your customer feel you are doing a great job at that. Service to the products you have already sold has just about gone away. You are over working the people you do have doing service. But again that looks great on your bottom line. It's all about the stock holders. Wake up Minelab while you still have some customers. I have spent my hard earned cash on your product for years check your warranty records more than $20,000 over 10 years. Come on throw us a bone and take care of your customers and employee's.

Agreed.. otherwise many of us will venture onto the dark side...Deus, Garrett, Whites to name a few.

The question is...what else am I going to use with the same success rate? There's little defense for not coming out with at least something to make us feel good, but all of MY success is because the tech is that good to begin with.

The complaint isn't the technology it's the extremely misleading advertising that minelab initially used to sell the over $2000 dollar CTX

Yeah I see the principal of it....when an individual or company get really good at something, it's true that sometimes arrogance follows shortly thereafter. I'm not saying that "arrogance" is why we haven't seen anything in awhile, but if they had an open line of communication to the general public at least there could be a discussion about things. Maybe there is one somewhere and I don't know about it??...

I'm a long term Minelab guy and I also own a Deus. You have just completely missed the point of the post.

its all a waste of energy typing anything here and time I have wasted that I will never get back minelab does what minelab wants,

we hope and prey someone namely Fisher who have a lot of top guys there now and haven't released a "new" detector for years and defiantly want to kick minelabs butt to the curb, do exactly that and give us options..

we live in hope and I am pretty sure Fisher are working on something to better minelab time will tell and me personally I don't like monopoly's it takes away my choices so I am rooting for the under dogs at Fisher we know you can do it fellas

I've been using the CTX 3030 for 5 years, I'm not sure if I'll buy the next one. The XP Deus just killed it for all the money of the CTX it got beat by performance and customer service.

Minelab is actually behind in technology now and not behind their technology giving us updates to keep their products competitive.

This is their flagship machine and it sits in my closet collecting dust.
