hey guys...did you get a flu shot ?

The various flu vacines being among them.

I'm retired USN. My whole career....20 years worth, I would tell the docs and the corpsman "Hey! These things make me sick!

To that, they would reply...."Are you alergic to eggs?"....."chicken feathers?"......"no to each?"......."shut up roll up your sleve and stick out your arm!" And every time, I'd be down for the count for 48 hours minimum.

Fast forward to present time. My employer offers flu shots free. My supervisor really pushes for me to get the shot. So I go to the employee clinic and they say "If you have any reaction at all, it will be a slight fever." "Are you alergic to eggs or chicken feathers?" "No to both questions?" "Roll up your sleve and stick out your arm please."

Deja Vu? You damn betcha! SICK AS A DOG & down for the count for 48 hours!

I'm tellin ya! They are are going to have to be dropping like flies all around me before I'll EVER take another flu shot in my lifetime!

some people get a mild reaction, some, no reaction, and in your case, a bad reaction........but it still protects you from only one kind of flu. Why get the shot?...........beats me, I never take it. 15 years as a ICU nurse and dealing with 3 people who actually died and many more who were made severely ill from the vaccine is enough to keep me from getting it. They inject you with a dead virus to build up your body's immune system against that one particular virus and occasionally a person gets injected with the live virus by mistake, not very often but it does happen.

Bobby has a good point... my neighbor had the flu at the same time as me and his was totally different than mine so who's to say if the shot would have done either of us any good at all.

black mold
after living a large portion of my life on the Oregon coast I can tell you that strains of Black Mold grow EVERYWHERE and on everything.
If Vernon lived in the Northwest his toothbrush prolly would have black mold on it.
But he's pretty tough so he might just call it a salad!!

:rofl::rofl::rofl:
I GAVE MIKE THE FLU !!!!!
AND HE DESERVED IT !!!
HE'S TO DAMN LAZY TO BUILD ME A BARN LIKE VERNONS.
